Late fees/fines

Answer

How to pay library charges

  • Effective January 2022, GRRL no longer charges late fees for items and all past late charges have been removed; replacement costs are still assessed for items considered lost (overdue 45 days)
  • Pay balances online with a credit card by logging in at https://search.griver.org with library card number and PIN. Details on this page: https://griver.org/make-a-payment
  • Pay in person with cash/check at any of our locations: https://griver.org/locations
  • Some locations are able to accept credit cards at self-check machines
  • Patrons may pay charges on library computers

Collection Agency

  • Accounts with a total unpaid balance of $25 or more will be turned over to Unique Management Services (a collection agency that helps libraries collect materials and money they are owed).
  • Accounts are turned over to UMS no less than 30 days after a courtesy billing notice is sent.
  • A $10 service fee is added to the patron account when it is turned over to UMS. Parents or guardians are responsible for debts incurred by minor children.
